(Born on the 30th September 1894 – died on the 28th June 1965) He was born on the 30th September 1894 into a musician family.
His real name is Jan Schindler. His whole successful and long career he used only his artist´s name Konstantin. Apart of his appearances in Plzeň, Ostrava, Bratislava and the tour in Vienna, he was the foremost soloist of the National theatre in Prague since 1921 until his retirement in 1960. The professional critics wrote about him: "He had a baritone of a deep / heavy violet sounding colour with sonorous and full depths (which enabled him to sing even bass-baritone characters) and with a beautiful sounding middle level. The precious vocal material he learned to master technically, he sang easily and naturally, without force or prude affects…". Jan Konstantin died on the 28th June 1965 in Hojsova Stráž.
